Torres played  for one of the two premier teams in Costa Rica, Deportivo Saprissa.

Played for the Columbus Crew -MLS, where he won the U.S. Open Cup 2002.

National Champion in Costa Rica 2003/2004 with Deportivo Saprissa.

Played in Norway and Sweden in 2005. Signed by Real Salt Lake of MLS for the 2006 season.
