Maykel Galindo is originally from Cuba.

He defected during the 2005 Gold Cup in Seattle and has played for the Seattle Sounders in the USL while awaiting permanent residency in the United States.

A very fast and technically good player who can create chances and score goals with his blazing, effortless speed.

Signed for Chivas USA in Major League Soccer in MLS on January.1, 2007 and scored 12 goals during his first MLS season.
